Meringue Cookie Recipe

Ingredients for Meringue Cookie Recipe


   2 large egg whites, at room temperature
   1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
   2/3 cup superfine granulated sugar
   1 teaspoon vanilla extract
   1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or finely chopped semisweet chocolate
Directions for Meringue Cookie Recipe

- Turn oven on to 350 F Degrees
- Using an electric mixer, beat in the egg whites
- At the cream of tartar and keep mixture fluffy
- Add in the sugar and vanilla extract. Continue to mix until the sugar is dissolved
- Fold in the chocolate chips
- Use two teaspoons to make droplets of the meringue on a cookie sheet
- Bake for roughly 2 hours
This meringue cookie recipe is fantastic. It does take longer to make than most cookie recipes, but it is well worth it.
